The relevance of tattoos in todays society, as we all know are much more common practice now, then the have ever been in our history. We also do know that the tattoos are basically an expressive artform adorning the skin which can depict a story, representation, signs, tattoo fonts , symbols which are permenantly placed onto the skin with ink (either colour or black) which has been pregnated into the skins layers after punturing with a tattoo needle. Modern tattoo guns have been proven to be the most effective tool to deliver the quality and accuracy we now expect these days with our tattoo art. The modern tattoo guns are also extremely quick and penetrate the skin with ease and with many repetions in a small amount of time, thus making the procedure of getting a tattoo time reduced.

Like any tool or instrument, there are a number of variations in the types of tattoo needles and guns available, and they have their distinct differences for various reasons. There are gun setups which do have more then one needle, and others with single needles, and also different thicknesses (guages) of needles. Single needle tattoos are considered the most widely used and most popular, however must be changed out after each use. There has been many, many incidents in the past, of which various illnesses and viruses were transmitted via tattoing from simly the tattooist, not disposing of the previously used needle, and reusing again on the next client.

In areas where tattoo guns are not available, such as in jail complexes, various homemade contraptions have been made in the past and present particulary in jails, these are known as prison tattoos. They are made of odds and ends of materials found in the jail complex, and do not usually give a good result. Often the materials are not sanitised and can lead to infection and the needles used are not sharp and surgical.A tattooist must keep in mind that going too deep into the skin when tattooing can result in infection, thus not using the proper equipment can lead to this result.

A big factor in the tattoo looking the best with application being a factor, is the colour. The inks used must be quality and bold. The most common colour ink used is black, and often outlines of the tattoo in black must be carried out in a bold manner, with strong inking. Broad outlines and strong colour areas are normally done with a broader needle, whereas areas of a lighter shade, or lighter colouration, are done with a finer needle/needles. This is referred to as shading, and its crucial when shading, that the ink is still impregnated enough to keep its desired colour evenly for the long time it is to be on someones body. This can be the tricky part as often the shading is done too light, and can fade or not properly penetrate the skins layers enough, and after some exposure to everyday elements the tattoo loses its lustre. Be sure that your tattooist does use the highest quality utensils, inks and needles before you get your tattoo, and the sanitation is of a high standard.

In the recent few years, the popularity of tattoos and expression of one’s self with tattoos has increased ten-fold.It is not uncommon anymore to see tattoos on people in everyday life, which was once very uncommon. People from all walks of life are now the owner of body art on their skin, from bankers, doctors to religious and criminals. There are literally hundreds of different genres of tattoos, which support different meanings, signs and various forms of status. One particular style of tattoo which has come on the scene in recent times, and which is recognised still, as unique, is the tongue tattoo.
With the tongue tattoo, it’s still the same procedure and preparation as getting a normal tattoo on any other park of your body/skin. There are many different forms of tattoos which have proven to be quite popular on the tongue, these being either a small symbol in the centre front or back, or covering the whole tongue in colour or black/grey ink, tribal work and shapes are also popular. Getting a tattoo on the tongue has often been described as having the sensation of tickling, and numbness, suprisingly some have said it has a less pain factor then other popular areas on your body to get tattooed. To get the tattoo effectively on the tongue, the artist must use a small tool, which is used to assist with holding the tongue out, to prevent swallowing (as saliva can build up and become annoying) and to hold the tongue still and in place as much as possible.Receivers of tongue tattoos have expressed positive feedback in relation to healing and no loss of taste or damage to taste buds. Of course being in the mouth, it is impossible to apply creams or ointments, so the healling process involves a more natural approach.
If you are thinking about getting a tattoo on your tongue, or are looking for more information prior to getting your tongue tattoo, try finding a local tattoo artist who has had significant experience with tongue tattoos in the past, simply ask, search or call the tattoo parlours to do so. Hopefully this has helped you in your quest to find your inspiration for your next tattoo venture. Feel free to comment, or post any information on your experiences with getting a tattoo on your tongue or any relevant material or information found which can aid in any other reader to get their tongue tattoo

The appearance of your tattoo both when new and in the long term future is the most important and most overlooked factor with tattoos. This article will provide the most important and proven factors to ensure your tattoo keeps its appearance and colour overtime, afterall noone wants an old faded wrinkly tatoo when they reach an elderly age. Over the years it is though, inevitable that your tattoo/s will lose its brightness and vibrancy.

Here is the proven methods at reducing the rate and reducing the effect your aging process has on your ink-

1. The proper care for your new Tattoo, as your tattoo heals and in the first couple of weeks after getting your tattoo. Do not scratch or pick at the healing tissue and ink as this may remove some of the actual ink pigmentation from your skin and leave areas with no ink, or blotches. You will also need to apply a good quality mouturizer or ointment to prevent infection and drying of the area, usually your tattooist will sell these or recommend the best ointments available.

2. Remove sun exposure on the tattoo. Yes i know this is difficult, especially in the summertime months, but its crucial. The UV rays given off from the sun can break down the pigments used in colouring your tattoo, not good!. If you do have to expose your ink to the elements of the sun, reduce the amount of time in the sun, and apply a strong spf sunscreen, be sure to keep applying throught the time exposed. If you have to be exposed for long periods such as, for work, cover with a bandage or sport bandage.

3. Choose a quality tattoo artist. Quality and reputable tattooists use the highest quality inks, and deep positive penetration of the ink. If you do not know of a quality tattooist, it is easy to find one with some simple research, either via the web or word of mouth (word of mouth does get around quickly)

4. Choose a strong and stable colour eg Black, Dark blue generally the darker the colour the more stable. It is known also that inks with a red base, do tend to fade much faster with some of these colours for example yellow, magenta, orange and red.

Keeping these important points in mind, as with everything, a healthy lifestyle and diet with plenty of vitamins and excercise will promote healthier skin, this also slows down the ageing process. Changes in your skin and body will affect your tattoos, keep this in mind !

It is true, that in recent years, tattoos have become much more acceptable in our everyday lives. We have come a long way, from the days when you did see a person with tattoos, they were automatically demmed associated with a motorcycle outlaw group, gang, or just a non law abiding citizen. What also amazes me is how the quality of tattooing and ink in recent years has dramatically improved, which has been attributed to better training, more money and business oppurtunities (which has attracted more artists), and more media coverage.

A study back in 2006 revealed that a quarter of USA citizens aged betweeen eighteen to fifty had one or more tattooes. It would also be true to say that figure would be much more now days. It is also now very common to see an employee in both small and international companies with visible tattoos, as opposed to days gone by. With the more widespread vision of more people in the workplace showing their ink, it is only a matter of time that tattoos become more and more tolerated.

There is still some taboo in certain positions and occupations where tattoos are not commonplace and to an extent do not seem well tolerated, en example would be a news repoter with a visible tattoo or a company CEO with a tattoo on his/her neck. Until it becomes more commonplace and more widely spread in the media showing more people in these types of positions with tattoos, this will still be some of the examples where tattoos do not seem tolerated.

This very common question is very well know by those that have tattoos or are getting a tattoo. The common answer to this common question is yes you can but, not much. It may lower the pain associated with getting tattooed, but drinking many drinks or having a heavy night with alcohol the night before getting tattooed does affect the result. This is caused by two reasons, one is alcohol is a known blood thinner, and also this excess blood can dilute the ink when getting the tattoo. This will cause the resulting tattoo to be slightly faded or blotchy. So, no it would be wise to say DO NOT DRINK before your ink.!

Getting a tattoo is an incredibly important decision as the is something that you’ll live with for your entire life. It is hopefully something that you’ll enjoy it for your entire life as well. As soon as you have decided on a tattoo design that you really like and one forever etched into your skin you’ll likely begin to get under this feeling. This man is feeling is due to the thought of needles piercing into your skin over and over and an extremely rapid pace. As on settling as a spot can be there are ways to help reduce the pain of getting a tattoo.

The first thing that you should do is give a lot of fat to the placement of a tattoo on your body. There are spots and your body that are covered in only a thinly a risk in such as your wrist or your ankles that can be incredibly sensitive. This means you’re more likely to feel more pain in these areas. Now if you were to get a tattoo in an area where there is more skin such as on your back and farm and happier arm you may feel less pain. If you have a high tolerance for pain than you can consider getting a tattoo on the back to your neck or long your rib cage as these are two places that can be quite painful to be tattooed.

Before you make an appointment to get tattooed you need to do your research. You need to find a tattoo shop in a person that will make you comfortable about getting tattooed. If you go to your appointments and are very nervous your skin will be more sensitive which will cause the needle to her and more. On the other hand if you choose a place that you’ve already visited and you’re working with the tattoo artist that you’ve already imagine a very comfortable with your much more likely to be relax which will mean a lot less pain.

You can choose to bring along some music that helps calm your narrows to playing mp three player as you’re being tattooed. Listening to your favorite band can help distract you from any those and even make the tattoo experience go by little quicker. Just remember if you happen to like something like heavy metal music you might want to consider leaving in our home as anything that heightens your senses can end up increasing your pain.

It may take a little research but it is very possible to lower the pain factor in getting a tattoo.

So you have made the choice to get your first tattoo. In the process of getting a tattoo it’s a very important step to take you want to make sure that you’re finding just the right tattoo shop in order to get your tattoo done. A tattoo is that piece of artwork that will stay with you for the rest of your life so you want to make sure that it’s done right the first time and you will enjoy a lifetime with the tattoo on your body.

The first thing that you want to do is take a look at the condition of the shop that you’re looking to get your tattoo done at. Is a shop clean and tidy? Or is the shop messy? The condition of the shop that you want to get will act as a good indicator of as to the quality of the tattoo that you will get.

You also want to take into consideration questioning the tattoo artists concerning their sterilization procedures. You want to know exactly how the sterilize their equipment so you know exactly what their and sterilization procedures are. There is a good chance of getting an infection when you’re getting a tattoo so you want to make sure that the tattoo shop that ticket. New tattoo at takes every precautionary measure possible to make sure that that doesn’t happen.

Another very important aspect that you need to consider when you’re looking to find just the right tattoo shop is making sure you find an artist that you’re comfortable working with. You need to make sure that the artist is going to cooperate with you in creating division that you want for your tattoo and not try to convince you to get something that he or she would like to tattoo on you.

Being able to find a quality tattoo for a woman can be a very hard thing to do. There have been many women who have thought that they’ve gotten a great tattoo only to have regrets afterwards. The great news is that it does not have to be this way anymore as there are plenty of great tips that can help women get just a tattoo that they’re looking for. No longer will they have to worry about getting a generic tattoo they will be able to find the perfect personalize tattoo that they will be proud to wear.

When you first begin your search as a woman looking for a tattoo there are many generic places that you’re going to want to avoid. Skip looking in places like Google in order to find the artwork for your tattoo. You should also not settle for some random cookie-cutter website just because it has a lot of tattoo flash for you to look at. There are large amount of these types of web sites that are crammed with tattoo designs that are incredibly old and may not be the trendy or edgy design that you’re looking for. Another thing to consider is how many other females have chosen the same design that you’re looking at getting. A tattoo for a woman or man for that matter should be something unique that can be cherished for a long time to come.

Another thing that you might want to consider when you’re looking at an air of websites that feature a lot of our work is that many are not actually drawn to be used as tattoos. This can make finding a great tattoo for women even more complicated. Now while a tattoo artist may be a fantastic there with a view a lot of them have no real knowledge and of what it takes to draw something like that that will look great on someone’s skin.

Finding quality tattoo for women can actually be very easy as long as you know where to look and the things that you need to consider when getting a tattoo.
